Kadeck’s new concept: The creativity & collaboration behind visual identity development work
Challenge
Kadeck, a software solution for B2B data streaming, released the newest version of their product in late 2023: Kadeck 5.0.
The release brought changes in functionality and performance as well as a completely revamped UI. Kadeck’s team set new standards for design and UX with the new version. Soon, it became clear that Kadeck’s website failed to meet those standards. It was time to resolve the disconnect.
Kadeck wanted a more visually appealing and intuitive website to communicate its innovative approach and align with the new brand identity.
The solution
Kadeck’s product designer and CEO shared their vision for the new website. It was now my responsibility to turn their vision into a new strategy, structure, and design.
This project brought together a variety of people with trained eyes for design who were all committed to building an innovative website.
I worked closely with Kadeck’s team on the initial concept, and brought in Pepijn Peeters — an experienced JS developer from my network — to work on the animation concepts and turn them into a reality using custom code.
Overall, it took a highly collaborative and iterative process to find the design that worked for the home page, which then served as the foundation for additional pages.
Result
We custom-designed two pages that became the building blocks for the complete website. Kadeck’s team used the designs and elements that were created in Webflow to update the rest of the site.
The new website meets Kadeck’s needs with an innovative design that reflects their brand, vision, and product. The improved information architecture makes it easier for users to understand Kadeck’s benefits and find the information they need. The animations were the finishing touch, adding motion that brought the design to life.
Kadeck’s team is thrilled with their new website. And with custom-built elements in Webflow, they’re able to keep making updates and adding pages as they need them, without the help of an external developer.
